OUR HISTORY
From Exclusion to Empowerment
Riziki Source was founded in 2015 as a direct response to the prejudice, stereotypes and exclusionary hiring practices that its founder, a person with physical disability resulting from childhood polio-infection, faced in his job search journey after graduating from the university. This experience fueled his determination to address the barriers that talented persons with disabilities face in accessing dignified and fulfilling work and led to the creation of Riziki Source.
An organisation working for and with young persons with disabilities in Kenya, supporting them to unlock their potential and pursue dignified, sustainable livelihoods through employment and entrepreneurship.
We understand that inclusion begins with access and grows through opportunity, visibility, and support.
Through our accessible job matching platform, available via mobile app and USSD, we connect job seekers with inclusive employers. We equip aspiring entrepreneurs with practical business skills and link them to financing opportunities to help them start or grow their businesses. At the same time, we work with employers to build disability-confident workplaces and engage local communities through storytelling and local outreach to shift perceptions and promote social inclusion of persons with disabilities.

Where we Work
Riziki Source works across Kenya, with a focus on both urban and rural areas where youth with disabilities face high unemployment and limited access to economic opportunities. We collaborate with a diverse network of partners including training institutions,local communities, private sectors,government agencies, disability organizations, and CSOs to drive systemic change.
