Are you a youth with disability, with a business idea? Riziki Source is looking for you!

In a significant move towards promoting inclusivity and empowering youth with disabilities, the InuaBiz Challenge will culminate in an awards ceremony in Nairobi, Kenya. Launched on social media platforms, the Inua Biz Challenge is an innovation competition aimed at identifying, nurturing, and promoting innovative ideas from youth with disabilities in Kenya.

The InuaBiz Challenge is designed to create opportunities for youth with disabilities to contribute to the Kenyan economy by providing them with the tools, mentorship, and funding necessary to transform their ideas into viable businesses. The event will see the winner of the challenge walk away with a grand prize of 150,000.

Inclusion guarantees that persons with disabilities have equal opportunities to engage in all aspects of life to the best of their abilities and aspirations. An inclusive and accessible society benefits all its citizens. Diversity and inclusion are more than just trendy terms; understanding and implementing disability inclusion is essential.

The key aspects of promoting inclusion in society are?

Education and Awareness: Raising awareness about disabilities and the challenges faced by individuals is a vital step. This involves educating the public and dispelling misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding disabilities.

Improving Accessibility: Ensuring that physical spaces are accessible to people with disabilities is fundamental. This includes not only public buildings but also outdoor areas and transportation systems.

Promoting Social Involvement: Encouraging participation in community activities and events is crucial. This can be achieved through inclusive events or by ensuring that all community activities take into account the needs of persons with disabilities.

One search event is the upcoming Inua Biz challenge.

Supporting businesses: Promoting the businesses of persons with disabilities not only brings economic advantages but also enhances self-esteem and fosters a more inclusive society.

Inua Biz challenge’s key mandate is to ensure that businesses grow and are realised for a better future for persons with disabilities.

Young people with disabilities encounter various challenges in education, including a lack of disability-inclusive and accessible learning environments. They also face discriminatory practices in employment and inaccessible workplaces. To tackle these issues, it is crucial to enhance disability-inclusive education, create accessible work environments, and improve businesses for those who can do or already have running businesses.

To solve the above issues, Riziki Source has launched the Inua Biz campaign to allow youths with disabilities participate in the competition and eventually assist youth with disabilities in participating in productive economic activities and decreasing their risk of poverty.

The InuaBiz Challenge marks a significant advancement toward building a more inclusive and equitable society in Kenya. By offering opportunities, mentorship, and resources to youth with disabilities, the challenge empowers them to become active participants in the economy and catalysts for social change.

We invite supporters, organizations, and partners to come together with us to ensure this event is a great success, reinforcing our shared dedication to accessibility and inclusivity for everyone.
