In recent days, we’ve heard you and we understand your concerns.
As anticipation builds for the Disability Employment Summit (DES) 2025, we've received important feedback about the event’s participation fee of KES 25,000. For many, especially job seekers and persons with disabilities (PWDs) working in organizations, this cost may feel like a barrier to the very inclusion we champion.
At Riziki Source, inclusion is not just our theme, it’s our mission. And we want to be transparent: The current registration fee reflects the real costs involved in putting together a quality, impactful and accessible summit. This includes:
- Venue accessibility
- Interpretation services
- Accommodation for those from out of Nairobi
- Meals, and logistical support
Crucial elements that ensure every participant has a dignified and seamless experience.
That said, we are not oblivious to the financial realities many of our community members face. That’s why we’re actively seeking sponsors and partners to help subsidize the cost of participation. Our goal is to significantly reduce or completely waive fees for select categories of participants, particularly job seekers and speakers who are persons with disabilities.
We will be rolling out a special application process for these sponsored slots. This will be shared publicly on our platforms in the coming weeks, so please stay tuned. The process will be fair, transparent, and focused on amplifying the voices that matter most at the Summit.
Your voices fuel this movement and your presence is vital to its success. We are committed to ensuring that cost does not stand in the way of inclusion, opportunity, and collective impact.
Together, we are not just hosting a summit, we are breaking barriers.
Keep following our pages for updates on sponsorship slots and how to apply. Let’s make DES 2025 a space where everyone can belong, participate, and thrive.
