Talanta Bridge is Riziki Source’s flagship talent development and placement initiative. It serves as the overarching platform designed to equip youth with disabilities with the skills, networks, and opportunities necessary to transition into the workforce with confidence and competence. Under this program, we run two key streams:
Jiandae is a work readiness and soft skills training initiative under the Talanta Bridge umbrella. It is designed to build the foundational competencies that youth with disabilities need to thrive in the workplace. Jiandae combines interactive virtual sessions with a self-paced learning platform (LMS), covering:
Participants benefit from:
Access to Riziki Job board through the Riziki mobile app to where they can access advertised job opportunities
Boresha Ajira is the employer-facing stream of Talanta Bridge. It focuses on transforming workplace cultures and systems to accommodate and empower employees with disabilities. This includes:
Boresha Ajira works in tandem with Jiandae to ensure trained candidates can access inclusive, prepared work environments, making it a full-circle solution from talent preparation to sustainable employment.
We also recognize that many youth with disabilities are turning to entrepreneurship as a key source of income. That’s where our Inua Biz Program comes in. It was created to enhance the skills and capacities of young, creative entrepreneurs with disabilities, those with the passion and drive to succeed but who lack the support and tools to do so.
One of the key initiatives under this program is the Inua Biz Challenge, a competition that brings entrepreneurial ideas to life. We guide participants through design thinking, coaching, and mentorship, helping them to shape their vision into powerful business pitches. The top participants receive grant funding to develop and implement their ideas, opening a door that may otherwise have remained closed.
Then there’s the Inua Biz Accelerator, which is designed for youth who already have established enterprises. We carry out assessments to understand their unique needs and then offer tailored support in areas such as marketing, financial management, bookkeeping, and overall business growth. One-on-one follow-ups ensure that our entrepreneurs continue to thrive long after the accelerator phase is complete.
At Riziki Source we believe that finances should never be a barrier to progress, Riziki Invest is making sure that entrepreneurs with disabilities can access the financial resources they need at favourable interest rates. This initiative is helping businesses scale, thrive, and become models of success, proving that with the right support, disability is not a limitation.
At Riziki Source, we believe in a collective approach to empowerment. That’s why we don’t stop at training. We have developed the very first accessible Job Platform designed specifically for individuals with various disabilities. This platform is available online, via a mobile app, and even through USSD is a game changer. It connects skilled youth with disabilities to the right jobs with the touch of a button.
